Position Overview

The Senior Finance Manager will serve as the primary finance leader for a large, multi-site operational portfolio within a growing middle-market organization, partnering directly with site and executive leadership to drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and improve profitability across numerous facilities.

This role requires a hands-on operational finance professional who thrives in complex, decentralized environments and brings strong contract management, forecasting, and P&L ownership experience.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the finance lead for a significant multi-location operational portfolio.
Oversee monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and full P&L performance across multiple facilities.
Manage contract compliance, pricing structures, and margin performance to protect profitability.
Conduct operational financial analysis including labor optimization, cost control, and productivity initiatives.
Partner directly with plant or site leaders to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
Present monthly financial reviews to senior leadership with clear variance analysis and strategic insight.
Act as liaison between finance, accounting, operations, and commercial teams.
Develop and mentor site-level finance support resources.
Ensure strong financial controls and standardized reporting across a decentralized footprint.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA preferred.
10–15+ years of progressive finance experience with current or recent experience at the Senior Manager or Director level.
Required experience supporting a large multi-site operation such as manufacturing plants, distribution centers, or other high-volume environments.
Demonstrated ownership of a significant revenue portfolio spanning numerous facilities.
Strong contract management and operational compliance background.
Proven ability to partner with field leadership and present financial insights to executive teams.
Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with large ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms required.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a steep learning curve.
Operational execution and business partnership mindset valued over pedigree.
