Staff Accountant
Essential Duties:
Four Star Freightliner is the Southeast region's leading heavy and medium-duty truck dealer that offers a comprehensive line of Freightliner and Western Star brand trucks for both highway and vocational use. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our Dothan, AL Location.
Essential Duties:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization
- Reconcile Leasing Accounts Payable
- Reconcile Floor Plan
- Rented Update Days & Commission Report
- Update Summary P&L Report
- Reconcile Bank Statements to Ledger
- Update Rolling Forecasts & Budgets each month
- Update Monthly Scorecard for each location
- Assist in preparing Financial Statements
- File and pay monthly Sales Tax
- Reconcile and Post insurance amounts for each employee
- Process monthly loan payments for Leasing & Rental Trucks
- Reconcile fixed assets & Post monthly depreciation
- Reconcile prepaid & Post Amortization
- Reconcile Rebill accounts
- Create Monthly Repair and Maintenance summary
- Post Truck Deals
- Enter Invoices for Leasing
- Assist Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable as needed
- Assist Payroll as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in accounting
- Experience in an Accounting Support role for at least 3 years or Financial related
- Experience in previous Staff Accountant role is plus
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
- Proficient in Procede is plus
