Primary Responsibilities:
Working based out of our Saskatoon office:
- Conduct Safety Inspections
- Support in conduct training sessions for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures and proper use of equipment.
- Ensuring compliance of employees before going to the field.
- Assist in investigating accidents and incidents to determine their cause and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports and training sessions.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure they do not pose health risks to employees and that environmental regulations are followed.
- Any other duties relating to health and safety as assigned by the HSE manager.
Required Skills
- Pursuing certificate, diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience in hazard identification & control, emergency response planning, incident investigations and inspections.
- Demonstrate good communication with internal and external clients.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to travel to remote project locations as required.
