Community Resources for Independent Living (CRIL) – Hayward, CA

Full-Time | Exempt | On-Site | Salary: $100,000–$120,000 + Benefits

CRIL is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in achieving independence and full community participation. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead our Hayward office. This role oversees day-to-day operations, community engagement, fundraising, and strategic direction in partnership with the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

    Community Advocacy & Partnerships (20–25%)

Represent CRIL in local coalitions, including the Alameda County ADRC.

    Fundraising & Strategy (10–15%)

Lead fund development, grants, and strategic planning.

    Program Oversight (15–20%)

Ensure services align with CRIL’s mission and community needs.

    Staff & Operations Management (25–30%)

Oversee finances, HR practices, team development, and compliance.

    Board Collaboration (10–15%)

Ensure transparency and support effective governance.

Qualifications:

    3–5 years in nonprofit/public sector leadership

    Lived experience with disability and/or deep understanding of independent living

    Strong fundraising, grant, and financial management experience (budget $1M+)

    Excellent staff development, communication, and advocacy skills

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

    Bilingual (Spanish, ASL, etc.) and local knowledge preferred
