About this position
The treater operator is an individual who works closely with the conditioning and packaging operators to produce a quality product to meet our customer’s needs. They are responsible for treating seed and understanding the seed conditioning process, as well as the basic knowledge of the plant and warehouse operations. This position may include shift work if necessary. The individual should have a good mechanical aptitude. The individual must be able to work together with others, yet when asked, have the ability to complete tasks on their own.
Basic Duties Include:
Operate seed treating and RIB blending equipment
Follow all Quality Management System processes and procedures
Accurately mix seed treatment chemicals
Process data inputs to set chemical application rates so customer requirements are met
Perform treatment application checks to verify correct application is being made
Maintain an accurate treatment chemical inventory
Assist with maintenance of the treating and blending equipment
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
Provide support to other plant and warehouse functions as needed

Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. for extended periods of time
