Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Inventory Support Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision. This individual must demonstrate sound decision-making abilities, effective time management, and strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cycle counts and scheduled inventory audits
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies by assessing variances from system records
- Conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurring issues
- Provide guidance and training to team members on proper inventory control practices and procedures
- Ensure compliance with GMP, personal hygiene standards, HACCP, and all applicable quality and safety regulations
- Complete ad hoc inventory-related tasks as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- General computer literacy, including comfort with inventory systems and data entry
- 1-3 years of cycle-count, warehousing, or material handling experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong mathematical and analytical capability
- Forklift Certification Preferred (required to obtain certification if hired)
- Ability to lift 50lb on an occasional basis
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated and goal driven with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well with a team
