• PAINTER JOB SUMMARY

  • A Painter performs all work necessary to prepare surfaces to receive finishes. Stains, varnishes or paints wood, sheetrock, plaster and metal surfaces. Installs carpet, wall covering, cove base, sheetrock, patches floor tiles, replaces and installs ceiling tiles. Occasional night and weekend work is required. Works with the understanding that some job hazards exist; observes safety. Works with minimum supervision.

• PAINTER JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must have one
    to two years experience on the job working with interior wall finishing materials. Must possess
    a valid Tennessee driver’s license and be able to meet hospital insurance requirements.
    
    Knowledge: Must be familiar with the use and applications of materials used to finish wood,
    plaster, metal, and sheetrock.
    
    Skills: Good general maintenance and job scheduling skills required. Good time
    management skills
    
    Abilities: Ability to work alone on assigned projects. Demonstrates sound judgment,
    independent thinking and good work initiative. Demonstrates the ability to react properly to
    crises and emergency situations.
