Position Overview
The Transportation Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing and maintaining driver files and assist in the personnel management processes and ensuring that all files are compliant according to company standards and as required by Department of Transportation regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reviews driver qualification files in accordance with required standards for approval
- Compiles and maintains proper driver qualification files
- Produces and maintains daily reports
- Frequent database entry for status changes and employment
- Support Department of Transportation compliance activities
- Enhance the company’s positive image and provide exceptional customer service to associates and customers
- Strict adherence to the applicable federal, state, local laws and company policies and procedures are a must.
Qualifications
- Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- General use of personal computer and proficient with inventory catalog
- Must have good business written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Strong customer service skills a must
- 3+ years of Fleet experience
Qualification Education and/ or Experience
- 2+ years of transportation industry experience required
- Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Construction background preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
