We are currently recruiting Structured Finance Manager to work with and strengthen our Atlantica Perú S.A. team based in the Lima office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate financing processes (project finance, corporate finance, refinancings, bridge loans, and multilateral financing) for projects and assets in South America.
  • Manage and expand relationships with the banking and capital markets, including commercial banks, multilateral institutions, ECAs, debt funds, asset managers, institutional investors, underwriters, and placement agents.
  • Obtain indicative proposals and binding offers, evaluating key terms including (but not limited to) interest rates, spreads, fees, tenors, guarantees, covenants, and conditions precedent.
  • Lead Debt Capital Markets (DCM) processes, including coordination with legal advisors, rating agencies, and arranging banks; as well as analysis of market windows, comparables, demand, and expected pricing.
  • Analyze hedging strategies to mitigate interest rate and foreign exchange risks (swaps, CCS, forwards, etc.).
  • Lead the negotiation of detailed term sheets as well as financing documentation (loan agreements, security documents, hedge agreements, indentures, Offering Memorandums, and other legal documentation).
  • Coordinate financial, technical, legal, and environmental due diligence processes. Lead coordination with the required rating agencies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Engineering, Origination, and Operations teams.
  • Prepare executive presentations for internal committees, the Board of Directors, banks, and investors, including comparative analyses and strategic recommendations.
  • Support advanced financial modeling, including stress cases and sensitivity analysis.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including the use of complex formulas and macros.

Personal Skills

  • Minimum of five years’ experience negotiating financing structures for infrastructure projects in the power/electricity sector, either through the banking system or local, regional, and international capital markets.
  • Relevant experience in DCM processes, local or international bond issuances, and coordination with rating agencies.
  • Strong command of hedging instruments, including swaps, CCS, forwards, and financial derivatives.
  • Direct experience reviewing and negotiating complex financing agreements.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in financing operations in Peru, Chile, Colombia, and Uruguay.

Technical Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of accounting and corporate finance (preferably with knowledge and skills to review tax-related matters).
  • Ability to assess complex situations and present them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to independently solve problems related to the role.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and solid understanding of risk.
