About this position

Main Activities 

Inspection & Diagnostics: Perform routine inspections on tractors, trailers, and forklifts to identify mechanical issues and ensure that equipment is operating at peak performance.

Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and associated equipment, including engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.

Troubleshooting: Identify issues such as engine malfunctions, electrical failures, and hydraulic problems, and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.

Parts Management: Ensure that parts inventory is properly maintained, and order new parts as necessary to complete repairs and maintenance tasks

Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that equipment meets industry safety standards and regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team to support the overall equipment reliability strategy. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics when needed.

Customer Service: Communicate effectively with other departments and provide updates on repair status or any issues affecting equipment availability.

Testing & Performance: After repairs or maintenance, conduct tests to ensure the equipment is functioning properly and safely.

HANDS ON diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide quality repairs

Travel to other company branches to perform preventive maintenance.

Work independently and as a member of  team 

Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
