Optometric Technician

Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. is currently looking for Full-Time Optometric Technicians to assist our busy practice. The Optometric Technician assists the Optometrist in preparing patients for their appointments by:

• Taking patient histories
• Patient workups
• Performing tests as required by the physicians
• Assisting with the fitting and sales of contact lenses
• Educating patients on proper use and care of their contacts.
• Other responsibilities as needed

The requirements of the position are as follows:

• You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in any of our three offices
• One night per week and one Saturday per month are required
• Candidate must have a track record of dependability, including good attendance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers from all departments
• Proficiency in using computers and basic office equipment
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in medical practice is preferred, training is available.
