Position Overview:

Oversee aspects of care in accordance with physician's orders, resident, and family needs.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coach & lead those staff members reporting to Charge LPN - work as one 'Team' to keep things running smoothly.
  • Responsible for dispensing medications to residents.
  • Charting & paperwork - Ensures all reporting requirements are met and completes all required paperwork; ie infection control, accident/incident reports, etc.
  • Complete MDS+ on residents per assigned unit(s).
  • Sterile technique / aseptic technique.
  • Skin assessment, Decubitus Care, Dressings / Irrigations, Catheterization, Tropical applications. 


Basic Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with issues that arise while on duty.
  • Assist with wing staff evaluations.
  • Assist with physician rounds.
  • Working with residents and staff.
  • All other Duties as assigned.



Requirements:

Education Required:

  • LPN license

Experience Required:

  • Dispensing meds and Medical aspects. 
  • Previous charge and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent supervisory skills and ability to be a good listener are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
  • Ability to practice choice theory may also be required.
  • Must be able to communicate with staff, residents, and the families of the residents.
  • Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential.
  • Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.




Salary Information

$25.00 - $34.00 Hourly Wage
