LEAD AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC
As Lead Mechanic at Spiffy, you serve as the bridge between technical excellence and operational efficiency. You will support the Site Manager by ensuring our fleet remains road-ready while mentoring a team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Perform high-level diagnostics and hands-on maintenance on a diverse fleet.
- Operations Management: Oversee parts inventory, ordering, and labor scheduling.
- Team Development: Lead by example in attendance and communication; assist with payroll and technician training.
- Work Environment: Excel in a dynamic, high-energy facility (non-climate controlled) where teamwork is the top priority.
Candidate must have Automotive Fleet experience.
Computer knowledge, repair ticket writing experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of automotive technicians/mechanics, providing guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all automotive services meet the highest quality standards and comply with manufacturer specifications.
- Workflow Management: Manage the scheduling of repairs, ensuring timely completion of tasks and efficient use of resources.
- Operational Excellence: Manage labor and scheduling, process payroll, ordering supplies and conducting inventory to ensure efficient business operations.
- Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of Technicians.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in diagnosing and resolving complex automotive issues.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage workflow efficiently.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Proven Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with a track record of successful leadership.
Certifications: Must have current and valid ASE Certification(s). Preference given to those who meet the experience requirement and are Master ASE Certified.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt and exhaust fumes. Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as hot and cold weather.

needed, climb steps, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, all of this for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the day.
