As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on HR Manager to support our people and our mission.
Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who brings a strong background in employment law, contracts, and compliance—particularly within the skilled trades or construction/refrigeration industries. This individual will lead HR operations across multiple states, ensuring policies align with legal standards while supporting our growing workforce.
Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
Develop and maintain compliant policies, procedures, and employee handbooks across multi-state operations.
Review, draft, and manage employment contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor documentation.
Advise leadership on labor laws, compliance updates, and risk management.
Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution with professionalism and confidentiality.
Partner with management to ensure fair practices and a positive work culture.
Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance.
Monitor changes in state and federal employment law affecting company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in construction, refrigeration, or HVAC industries.
Strong knowledge of employment law, contracts, and compliance across multiple states.
Experience with employee relations, investigations, and workforce planning.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
