As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on HR Manager to support our people and our mission.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who brings a strong background in employment law, contracts, and compliance—particularly within the skilled trades or construction/refrigeration industries. This individual will lead HR operations across multiple states, ensuring policies align with legal standards while supporting our growing workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee relations.

  • Develop and maintain compliant policies, procedures, and employee handbooks across multi-state operations.

  • Review, draft, and manage employment contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor documentation.

  • Advise leadership on labor laws, compliance updates, and risk management.

  • Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Partner with management to ensure fair practices and a positive work culture.

  • Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance.

  • Monitor changes in state and federal employment law affecting company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in construction, refrigeration, or HVAC industries.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, contracts, and compliance across multiple states.

  • Experience with employee relations, investigations, and workforce planning.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
