About this position
Description:
- McGriff Tire is seeking a Forklift Tire Press Technician. In this role, you will work both on and offsite in a company provided vehicle and trailer with a mobile press. Responsibilities may include installation of Industrial (Press-On/Resilient/Pneumatic), Construction (Radial/Solid), and OTR (Radial/Solid) tires.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
- Valid Driver’s License and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
- DOT Medical Certification (required as part of the application process)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling customer equipment according to OSHA Standards
- Mount/dismount various industrial tires, utilizing a Hydraulic 200 Ton Press Machine
- Perform different tire repairs as needed
- Local travel is required to customers and company locations (no overnights)
Skills and Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate service equipment
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail
- Follow safety protocols and company policies
- Pass background check and drug screen
