We’re now looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor (temporary) to cover for staff on Leave. You will primarily be responsible for leading, tracking, and evaluating the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team. You will also establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. You will work closely with the accounting, planning, and purchasing teams to ensure timely posting and payments.
The Opportunity
As a member of the team, you will:
- Lead daily operations of the accounts payable department including:
- Process accounts payable transactions
- Prepare and process timely weekly check runs
- Complete month-end processes
- Research, attain clarification, and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues through partnership with vendors and cross functional teams
- Work with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Coach/lead incoming AP Specialists on Local Crafts processes and procedures
- Lead/oversee company card program
- Oversee approval for legal contracts, providing support for AP specialist
- Lead form 1099 reporting
- Facilitate and support external and internal audits, as needed

What You Bring
“Must Have” skills and experience
- A minimum of one-year supervisory experience, preferably in an Accounts Payable role
- MS Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills
- The ability to manage completing priorities and maintain an organized workflow
- Be able to independently solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles

“Nice to Have” skills and experience:
- NetSuite & SAGE software experience
- Familiarity with Bill.com Spend & Expense or similar tool (Brex, Ramp, Expensify)
Compensation: $38.00 to $42.00/hour, depending on your location as well as the experience and the skills you bring.
- Proficient-level experience falls toward the lower to mid-range.
- Strategic-level experience may be considered at the upper range.
Upon a conditional offer of employment, a criminal background check will be required.
