Two postdoctoral positions in the area of cardiovascular biology and regeneration are immediately available in the lab of professor Bin Zhou at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, USA. The primary research focus of the Zhou lab is the developmental basis of human cardiovascular disease and regenerative medicine. The specific areas of interest include the specification and differentiation of cardiovascular cells, the genetic and epigenetic regulation of mammalian heart development, and the molecular signaling in heart regeneration (Circulation Research, PMID: 21597012; Cell, PMID: 23178125; European Heart Journal, PMID: 26491108; Nucleic Acid Research, PMID: 27956497; Nature Communications, PMID: 28924218; 29215012).

Requirements

Recent PhD graduates (or equivalents) with trainings in developmental biology and cardiovascular research using mouse models and human pluripotent stem cells are welcome to apply. Applicants with additional qualifications in CRISPR/Cas9 technology or bioinformatics will be given preference. The qualified candidates are expected to be self-motivated and team-oriented. Albert Einstein College of Medicine provides postdoctoral trainees with excellent work environment and affordable housing for individuals and families. The positions are available for five years and supported by the NIH funding, with salaries/benefits according to the NIH and institutional guidelines.
