We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and highly motivated individual to work as part of a multidisciplinary team of physician-scientists, physicists, and cancer biologists. The project requires the use of state-of-the-art intravital microscopy of tumors in live animals to determine 1) the mechanisms underlying invasion, migration, and extravasation of cancer cells from primary tumors; 2) the role of stem programs in the formation of metastatic foci; and 3) the effect of targeted therapies on metastasis. The project requires the use and development of transgenic mouse models, surgical technique for orthotopic models, and multiplex immunofluorescence techniques.
