About this position

The Medical Data Entry Specialist will support the Intake Department for Home Health and Hospice by accurately entering patient data, medical records, and related information into electronic systems. This role will also assist with additional data entry tasks across departments as needed, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Input and maintain accurate patient information, including demographics, medical history, and insurance details, in EHR systems.
Process intake forms and documentation for home health and hospice services with high attention to detail.
Perform general data entry tasks for other departments as assigned.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with intake team to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.

Qualifications:.

1+ years of data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
