Description:
Position Summary: The CMM Operator operates CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection, and testing of production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs. The CMM Operator documents and reports non-conforming part geometry and dimensions and performs in-process/final inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use engineered drawings to create programs and operate CMM equipment to measure parts per engineering specifications;
- Determine quality (pass/fail) of manufactured parts based on dimensional inspection;
- Complete and maintain detailed and accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of inspection data;
- Maintain quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area;
- Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration;
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a AS engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience reading & interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Previous experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment including CMM in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- ISO training is a plus
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
- Should have a positive and professional attitude
