Description:

Position Summary: The CMM Operator operates CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection, and testing of production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs. The CMM Operator documents and reports non-conforming part geometry and dimensions and performs in-process/final inspections.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use engineered drawings to create programs and operate CMM equipment to measure parts per engineering specifications;
  • Determine quality (pass/fail) of manufactured parts based on dimensional inspection;
  • Complete and maintain detailed and accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of inspection data;
  • Maintain quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area;
  • Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a AS engineering degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience reading & interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Previous experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment including CMM in a manufacturing setting is preferred
  • ISO training is a plus
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
  • Should have a positive and professional attitude


Salary Information

$24.00 - $30.00 Hourly Wage
