Our custom apps for iPhone and Android devices help public safety organizations reach their citizens where they are: their smartphones. We are currently recruiting for a Video Production Intern to work on-site at our headquarters in Opelika, Alabama. The Video Production Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the creation and development of high-quality video content that aligns with OCV's brand and communication goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing interview outlines and planning filming logistics.
- Assist with on-site production, including camera setup, lighting, audio, and b-roll capture.
- Support virtual recordings via Zoom or Google Meet, including technical setup and quality monitoring.
- Edit testimonial and marketing videos under the guidance of the Video Producer.
- Create short-form video content (15–60 seconds) optimized for social media platforms.
- Format video content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and email campaigns.
- Assist with thumbnail creation and caption copy writing as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to route content for review, approval, and distribution.
What We Require for This Role:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university studying Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Film and Media Studies, Journalism or other related field.
- Demonstrated experience editing video content (academic, freelance, or personal projects accepted).
- Proficiency in at least one professional editing platform (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Wondershare Filmora).
- Foundational understanding of framing, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with social media video formats and digital best practices.
- Basic knowledge of file management and asset organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a receptive attitude toward feedback.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
