POSITION PURPOSE:  The Shift Supervisor assists the Plant and Production Managers by ensuring that direction is deployed to Production employees.  Coordinates Production realization activities.  Ensures Production schedule is implemented, monitored, and tracked for successful execution, communicates any deviation to the Plant Manager and appropriate functions.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all requirements for maintaining a safe workplace are followed (PPE, rules & policies, etc.)
• Schedules all Union and Temporary employees within Production functions
• Reassigns employees as needed depending upon staffing levels and daily workload
• Supervises and trains employees on Line changeovers and minor equipment repair/maintenance
• Responsible for shift-specific gallon-line Production
• Assist in Drum Line changeovers as required
• Ordering packaging equipment repair/backup parts
• Assist in equipment repairs as needed
• Ensures all applicable paperwork/documentation is accurately completed
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: 

• High school diploma/GED required
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
• Proven knowledge of production policies and procedures 
• Forklift Certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong active listening skills 
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
