Job Description
Innovative Sheet Metal (ISM), a successful and fast-paced commercial contractor, is currently seeking a hardworking Sheet Metal Installer / Apprentice for commercial HVAC projects in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the sheet metal and mechanical trades, with 0–5+ years of experience.
Our team works on a wide variety of commercial projects, and we are looking for dependable individuals who are eager to learn, work safely, and take pride in quality work.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and seal commercial ductwork.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Cut metal and assist with duct fabrication and installation tasks.
- Move and stage sheet metal materials on job sites.
- Assist with demolition and removal of existing HVAC systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Follow all jobsite safety requirements and company policies.
- Work as part of a crew under the direction of a foreman or lead installer.

Qualifications
- 0–5+ years of sheet metal or construction experience (commercial HVAC preferred).
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a consistent 40-hour work week.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical jobsite work.
- Must be of good moral character and work well with others.
