About the Position:
This role provides unwavering, compassionate support to clients and their families during some of the most challenging moments in the recovery process. The position focuses on advocacy, care coordination, and peer-based support to promote sustainable, long-term recovery outcomes.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Flexibility to work hours outside of this schedule is required due to the nature of the role and client needs.
Your Role:
- Provide individualized support, education, and advocacy to clients and their families throughout the recovery process
- Serve in a peer support role, offering lived-experience-informed guidance and encouragement
- Facilitate case management for clients during Detox and Residential treatment stays
- Assist with referrals to the appropriate level of care and support clients and families through care transitions
- Facilitate crisis interventions when clinically appropriate
- Support clients in transitioning back to work, home, or school while implementing Mountainside’s continuing care recommendations
- Assist clients in locating recovery-based and personal resources, including AA/NA meetings, Al-Anon, therapy, and community services
- Collaborate with families to support their own recovery and recommend family treatment resources as needed.
- Coordinate with collateral supports to address each client’s unique needs
- Communicate timely updates and pertinent information to the treatment team
- Counsel and educate family members on how to effectively support their loved one
- Provide client transportation when appropriate
- Monitor client progress and adjust support services as recovery needs evolve
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Aura and Salesforce in accordance with documentation standards
- Uphold Mountainside’s Best-in-Class service standards, values, and policies
- Participate in required trainings and complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience and/or knowledge in substance use treatment
- CARC Certification preferred
- Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record required
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of cultural competency with sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomic factors, and diverse populations
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
