About this position
Sportsman Boats is looking for a CNC operator responsible for the operation of the CNC machines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high quality standards.
What you will do:
- Perform all assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high quality standards
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
- Transport materials to different areas of CNC shop
- Perform inspection of machined products, and documents results
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
- Assist in other work areas in upholstery department as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum one year experience as a CNC operator in a fast paced manufacturing facility
- Experience using small hand tools
- Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
- Detail oriented, proactive and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Advanced verbal communication skills
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass and vinyl in marine industry
- Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems
This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routinely wears protective clothing and masks.
