About this position
The Inside Sales Specialist is the hub of our glazing operation. If a project runs smoothly, ships correctly, and the customer feels taken care of, this role had a hand in it. You’ll be the first voice our customers hear, the detail-checker behind every order, and the behind-the-scenes coordinator that keeps sales, service, and installation moving in sync.
This is a fast-paced, detail-driven position for someone who enjoys problem-solving, juggling priorities, and being the go-to person when questions come in.
What You’ll Do
Be the First Point of Contact
- Answer incoming calls with professionalism, confidence, and a customer-first mindset
- Provide clear guidance on glazing products, pricing, timelines, and general project questions
- Build trust with homeowners, contractors, and commercial clients through consistent, responsive communication
- Enter orders accurately from phone, email, or fax inquiries
- Confirm pricing, measurements, product selections, and installation requirements
- Manage changes, revisions, and updates while keeping customers and internal teams informed
- Schedule residential service calls and installations
- Communicate timelines, expectations, and updates clearly
- Partner closely with field glaziers and warehouse staff to ensure materials and labor align
- Work with approved vendors to source standard, specialty, and custom glazing products
- Request and review vendor quotes
- Submit purchasing documentation accurately and on time
- Track lead times, confirmations, and deliveries, and proactively communicate updates
- Ensure all job-related paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly filed
- Maintain organized records for orders, service calls, and installations
- Create clear data sheets for budgeting, planning, and internal reference when needed
- Provide administrative and documentation support to other departments as required
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple orders, projects, and priorities at once
- Clear, professional communication , written and verbal
- A customer-service mindset with solid problem-solving skills
- Comfort with computers, order entry systems, and office software
Experience & Qualifications
- Sales, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
- Experience in glazing, construction, or building materials is a big plus
- Willingness and ability to learn product specs, pricing structures, and lead times
- Reliable attendance and a professional approach to work
Work Environment
- Office-based role with frequent coordination with field and warehouse teams
