About this position

Autumn Harp, a private label custom contract manufacture of cosmetic and personal care products has an opening for a highly skilled Compounding Mechanical Technician who excels in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment.  The ideal candidate is a true jack-of -all trades – capable of troubleshooting complex equipment, applying strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge, and supporting the Compounding Department to keep all equipment operating safely and at peak efficiency. This role is essential in minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and performance. 

 

The successful candidate will lead by example, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, and collaborate effectively across teams to support preventive and scheduled maintenance programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and prioritize the compounding maintenance request list in coordination with the Process Equipment Manager and Compounding Manager.Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and minor or moderate mechanical repairs.Participate in our Operational Excellence program and work with the Reliability Pillar Team to implement and improve preventive maintenance programs within the Compounding area.Diagnose technical issues with and without schematics and technical drawingsPartner with Continuous Skills Development (CSD) Pillar to develop, update and refine work instructions.Provide guidance and support for continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Promote and enforce a safe, clean working environment by upholding procedures, rules, and regulations.Immediately address unsafe conditions and ensure adherence to company and VOSHA safety regulations. 

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude with broad technical versatility. Solid reading, math, and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to meet quality standards and work both independently and within a team. Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Ability to adapt to evolving manufacturing needs and priorities. Ability to routinely lift 35–50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Salary Information

$27.0 - $30.0 Hourly Wage
