Engineer III - Systems Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required, ability to obtain TS/SCI

OVERVIEW
Integrity Communications Solutions is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support mission-critical systems within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This entry-level role involves a mix of systems administration, configuration management, cybersecurity, and engineering support, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Ideal candidates will work closely with experienced team members while gaining hands-on experience across both sustainment and development environments. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to build a strong technical foundation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide systems administration and help desk support for Windows, Linux (Red Hat), and Solaris environments.
  • Install, configure, and update software; apply patches and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring cybersecurity solutions aligned with RMF controls and policies.
  • Support configuration management processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., system guides, job aids, version descriptions).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collect and track system performance metrics and assist in preparing deliverables.
  • Perform tasks related to media control, audits, and classified/unclassified data handling.
  • Help automate routine system processes using scripting tools.
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or
    • Master’s degree in a related field with no prior experience required.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Active Secret clearance required at time of hire
    • Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance as required by program needs.
  • Certifications:
    • Security+ required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contracting requirements.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Basic understanding of system hardening and STIG/Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools.
  • Exposure to virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and performance monitoring tools.
  • Ability to read and write simple automation or shell scripts (Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Experience with collaboration and ticketing tools such as Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Salary Range: Starting at $95,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
