Class A Driver

The driver will transport lawn and garden products locally within Omaha. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, storing, and distributing lawn and garden materials such as seed, sod, fertilizers, pesticides, landscape materials, live plants, and other inventory. 

Start Date: In a few weeks (can begin sooner for the right candidate)

Length of Assignment: Seasonal/Temporary (March–October)

Interview Required: Yes

Resume Required: Yes 

Compensation Pay: $24–$26/hour (DOE)

Overtime: Possible depending on schedule/weather

Holiday Work: Yes (Shortened hours typically 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM; e.g., Memorial Day, Labor Day)

Schedule Days: Monday–Friday

Occasional Saturdays: Yes (weather dependent)

Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible depending on weather)

Average Weekly Hours: ~40 hours

Schedule Flexibility Required: Yes

Equipment Operated:

• Automatic straight truck
• 18’ wheeler with covered wagon trailer
• Flatbed trailer

The majority of routes are local (Omaha area). 

Licensing & Certifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid Driver’s License
• MVR Required
  • No tickets within the last year (preferred)
  • No DUIs within the last 5 years (preferred)

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Background & Screening

• Background Check Required
  • No felonies
  • Misdemeanors considered case-by-case
• Drug Screen: Only required if involved in a work-related accident

Language

• English required

Dress Code

• Jeans or work pants
• Boots covering ankles (preferred)
• Outerwear provided by client
