The HR & Volunteer Services Assistant plays a key role in supporting the people who make True Friends' programs possible. This position helps ensure smooth onboarding, accurate records, and a positive experiences for staff and volunteers. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping others succeed, this role offers hands-on experience in human resources, administration, and volunteer coordination within a mission-driven organization.
Schedule: Seasonal, Early June - Mid August 2026
 
Locations: Annandale, Maple Lake, and Eden Prairie, MN
 
Pay: $15.57
 
What You'll Do:
  • Facilitate onboarding and assist with completion of new hire paperwork, including verification of supporting documents
  • Collaborate with leadership to report and manage work-related injuries
  • Provide organizational information and guidance during orientation for staff and volunteers and offer ongoing support throughout the summer
  • Maintain accurate and confidential staff and volunteer records within databases
  • Coordinate evaluation processes and gather employment feedback
  • Partner with departments and leadership to achieve organizational goals
  • Update, distribute, collect, and analyze survey data; prepare reports and present findings
  • Engage as an active member of camp and volunteer communities
  • Support specials projects, assignments, and other tasks as assigned
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Interest in gaining experience in Human Resources, Administration, or Volunteer Coordination
  • Some experience with administrative tasks and general computer knowledge preferred
  • Strong motivation to learn, adapt, and work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Physical & Work Environment Expectations:
  • Work in both office and program environments
  • Sit, stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for administrative tasks and interactions
  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners
  • Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and leadership
