Job Title: Protestant Director of Religious Education

Location : MACS Iwakuni , Japan

Job Type : Part-Time

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and lead CRP Protestant educational activities for pre-school and elementary school-age students:

Weekday Meetings - Organize and direct regular children’s study group meetings that focus on spiritual development while integrating mental, physical, and social development.
Sunday School – Coordinate with chaplain/lay leader of Protestant faith groups to provide or facilitate weekly Bible study or religious activities for pre-school and elementary school-age children.
Special Events - Conduct six (6) special events per year during holidays or special occasions to promote spiritual growth and discipleship, with an emphasis on community responsibility and faith sharing.
Discipleship - Disciple elementary-age children in Christian Principles, to include spirituality, outreach, Christian growth, morals and values.
Vacation Bible School - Coordinate with chaplain/lay leader of Protestant faith groups to organize and conduct a week-long program designed to spiritually engage pre-school and elementary-age children.

Implement promotional endeavors, maintain records of materials, order necessary items, and keep attendance of all activities in this program.

Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree.
Minimum of two years’ experience as a leadership role within Protestant religious
education or children’s ministry is required.
Must be an active participant in local ministry and active in their faith.
Speak, read, and write English Proficiently.
Protestant faith leader recommendation letter from current or most recent place of ministry participation.
