Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Pensacola, Florida

Requirements

Degree/Education: Associate Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Heart Saver (HS) certification using American Heart Association (preferred)

• Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Experience: Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.

• Must have previous experience in the treatment of traumatic brain injury.

• Licensure/Registration: Unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Duties:

• Provide a full range of Occupational Therapy Assistant services.

• Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the Plan of Care (POC) of a credentialed provider.

• Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions
