Junior Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Analyst to support the organization with data analysis, reporting, business modeling, and operational insights within a fast-growing personal injury law firm. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytically strong candidate who wants exposure to legal operations, finance, performance management, and executive decision-making. 

The Junior Analyst will work closely with firm leadership to analyze performance across departments (Pre-Lit, Litigation, Employment, Intake, Marketing, Medical Records, etc.), identify trends, and help drive smarter, data-informed decisions. 

Key Responsibilities 

Data & Reporting 

• Build and maintain weekly and monthly KPI reports (case volume, settlement values, conversion rates, cycle times, revenue per case, etc.) 
• Analyze performance across departments (Intake, Pre-Lit, Litigation, Marketing, Medical Records, Case Management) 
• Track attorney productivity, case manager efficiency, and department-level metrics 
• Create executive dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools 

Financial & Business Analysis 

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking 
• Analyze marketing ROI (lead sources, cost per signed case, cost per settlement dollar) 
• Identify profitability trends by case type, attorney, and referral source 
• Support settlement pipeline forecasting and revenue projections 

Operations Support 

• Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose process improvements 
• Support special projects related to growth, staffing models, and technology improvements 
• Help prepare materials for leadership meetings (reports, decks, summaries) 
• Conduct ad hoc analysis requests from executive leadership 

Executive & Strategic Support 

• Prepare clean summaries of complex data for partners and leadership 
• Build PowerPoint presentations for internal reviews and strategy sessions 
• Research industry benchmarks and best practices in legal operations 
• Assist with implementation of new tools, systems, or processes 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field 
• Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally 
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience working in a law firm, professional services, or operations-heavy environment 
• Experience with case management systems (Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate, Needles, etc.) 
• Experience with dashboards or BI tools (DOMO, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) 
• Familiarity with KPIs related to legal operations or sales funnels 
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, advanced formulas, basic modeling) 
• Experience in data engineering is preferred

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00
