POSITION SUMMARY
The Ocular Recovery Technician supports the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network Inc. (NDN) through clinical support for the Ocular department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s):
· Recovers donated eyes surgically according to protocol.
· Packages and ships donated corneas as directed.
· Assists with the cleaning of the operating room, recovery site and Network facilities.
· Ensures laboratory cleanliness is maintained and quality assurance is followed.
· Completes all required donor charts and related reports completely, accurately, and in a timely manner according to protocol.
· Delivers eye tissue to local hospitals, clinics, and physicians as requested.
· Maintains patient and organizational confidentiality at all times.
· Follows Standard Operating Procedures as set by the company, regulatory agencies.
· Participates in the development and achievement of individual scorecards to reflect individual, departmental and company goals.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associates degree preferred.
Experience: Six months to one-year related experience
Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS office programs
Certificates & Licenses: Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT) preferred
Other Requirements: Be available “on call” according to a fixed schedule. Required to have a personal cell phone. Required to travel by personal auto to meet all of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
