Rolling Mill Operator - 3rd Shift

EMS is looking for experienced Rolling Mill Operators. 

Position Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of ZR rolling mills and metal forming machines, working with close tolerances. Check and order material and work from route cards and schedules. Use a variety of precision measuring tools to perform in-process inspection and check incoming material to meet required standards

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the mill, including roll changes
• Operate edge trimmer and in-line welder as needed 
• Change rolls and components in the mill housing as needed
• Work with very close tolerances from route cards
• Use shop math, use micrometer, gauges, and samples
• Complete setups, routine maintenance, and other equipment related operations.
• Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems
• Wear all required PPE at all times
• Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
• Other duties as required

Education and Experience:

• High School or Equivalency Diploma
• Basic Shop Math
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
• Ability to use hand held measurement instruments
• Experience operating continuous metal strip processing equipment preferred
