Job Summary
Tiger Star Construction is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to support the construction and electrical build-out of the Hailiang Copper manufacturing facility in Sealy, Texas. This role will focus on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for industrial facilities and production lines, ensuring all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test electrical systems for industrial facilities, including:
Power distribution systems
Conduit (EMT, rigid, and PVC)
Panels, transformers, and disconnects
Motors, VFDs, and production equipment
Perform electrical work related to manufacturing and production line build-outs
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Ensure all installations comply with NEC, local codes, and project requirements
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues during installation and commissioning
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades on-site
Supervise and provide guidance to apprentice electricians as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all Tiger Star Construction and site-specific safety policies
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician license (Texas or recognized reciprocal license)
Minimum 3–5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Experience working in:
Industrial facilities or manufacturing environments
Production equipment and process power systems
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and construction standards
Ability to work from prints with minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Sealy, TX
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in industrial environments
Ability to work extended hours or weekends as project schedules require

Experience with:
Motor controls and control panels
PLC-related wiring (installation side)
Start-up and commissioning support
Industrial construction background
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
