This is a full-time position encompassing all aspects of data management and patient information systems to support the cancer screening program. 


Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Understands the eligibility guidelines for the Cancer Education & Early Detection (CEED) program and performs responsibilities in accordance with these guidelines.
  • Reviews the patient medical record in eCW, for patients referred for enrollment in the CEED program, and completes the CaST form.
  • Enters patient biographical and medical data into the Med-IT and Prostate/Colorectal databases in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Reviews and maintains the data files, for accuracy and completeness, on a weekly basis.
  • Participates in weekly CEED staff meetings and reports on status of activities.
  • Collaborates with CEED program staff to send monthly patient reminder letters.
  • Assists with patient follow-up to ensure completed cancer screenings.
  • Assists with submission of data to the NJCEED program, as required in the grant guidelines.
  • Assists in data to support reporting requirements from all grantors.
  • Assists in reviewing bills received from contractors (sub-grantees) for services provided.
  • Assists in submission of monthly invoices and bills to Program Coordinator for review and submits to Dover Finance Manager for payment and recording, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists in maintaining an organized billing system.
  • Assists in auditing monthly lab reports; create and submit monthly CEED internal lab invoice of services provided, for CEED Program Coordinator review prior to submitting to Dover Finance Manager.
  • Participates in CEED Outreach and Education planning and programs when needed.
  • Participates in Regional Chronic Disease and Cancer Coalition (RCDC) meetings and programs when needed.
  • Participates in CEED staff training and meetings when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Experience in eCW or other related EHR systems
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong typing, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to perform essential job duties 
  • Knowledge of state and federal guidelines for grant administration and grant reporting forms a plus. 
  • Learn and apply the trauma informed care principles with the scope of the position


Education, Training, and Experience

  • High School diploma
  • Certificates in business, computer science, or information systems is a plus 


Salary Information

$22.00 - $25.50 Hourly Wage
