CBH CO-OP is looking to fill the part-time custom applicator position

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining farm machinery and agricultural equipment efficiently and safely, including a floater sprayer, spreader, and company truck
  • You will work closely with the operations team to ensure growers receive timely and precise agricultural application services
  • Operate sprayers and spreaders to apply fertilizer, crop protection products, and other agricultural inputs according to job specifications
  • Transport, load, and unload farm and agricultural products and supplies
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure accurate application rates
  • Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on application and transportation equipment
  • Accurately record application data, field conditions, and required documentation
  • Follow all safety, environmental, DOT, and regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and team members
  • Assist with loading, mixing, and handling crop protection chemicals and fertilizers
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment, vehicles, and work areas
  • Work extended hours during peak farm and agriculture seasons as required

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Basic mechanical skills with troubleshooting ability
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented farm and agriculture environment
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment and materials as needed
