Background on R&T:
Founded in 1974, R&T Deposit Solutions is a privately held financial technology company based in New York City. A recognized leader in the administration of insured deposit programs, R&T serves over 350 banks and financial institutions with over $179* Billion in assets under administration (AUA).
In 2022, with the support of Estancia Capital Management, R&T acquired Total Financial Solutions, expanding its product offerings, increasing the depth of its management team and operational capabilities. In August 2023, R&T received a strategic investment from GTCR, which acquired a 50% equity stake. The investment by GTCR in R&T is intended to further support and sustain R&T’s high rate of growth in its expanded deposit insurance programs, while also investing in further strengthening leadership, governance, risk management, and technology infrastructure.

Enterprise Risk Summary:
The Risk team works to deliver a robust risk management framework that serves as a business enabler and promotes compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The team works closely with R&T senior management, third parties and other key stakeholders to support processes to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within our business lines and across the organization.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Intern to support our ongoing efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within the organization. This role will focus on enhancing our risk management frameworks and practices which include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing risks related to relationships with third-party vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Risk & Controls Assessment:
- Participate in exercises that analyze and assess R&T’s operational and third-party risks and controls
- Policy Development:
- Assist in the drafting and updating of policies, procedures and other key artifacts
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments to ensure effective risk coordination.
- Shadowing ORM/TPRM staff
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Preparing dashboards and contributing to metrics reporting exercises
- Assist in the update of KPIs and KRIs
- Training & Development:
- Participate in the development of risk training plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Operations Management) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with datasets to derive meaningful insights (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, and other data visualization tool proficiency is preferred but not required)
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Prior experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management , Third/Fourth-Party Risk Management, Audit, Operations is preferred but not required
- Highly organized, strong time management
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple projects while prioritizing deliverables
- Highly motivated and intelligent, working effectively in a team environment; proactive and takes initiative
- Relationship building skills with internal and external counterparties
- Strong work ethic and passion for excellence; personal and professional integrity
- Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid a range of $20-22 per hour. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid internship based in Midtown Manhattan. The R&T Internship Program runs from approximately June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
