Junior Purchaser

Major Drilling, one of the leading diamond drilling companies in Canada is hiring!

We are currently seeking a Junior Purchaser for an immediate opening in Winnipeg, MB and offer:

Job Responsibilities

• Reconcile invoices from vendors
• Match invoices to Purchase Orders
• Deal with vendors for return requests and credit notes
• Enter invoices for payment processing
• Call vendors to request price quotes and availability
• Purchase products from vendors through company ordering system
• Make inventory adjustments / updates in system to maintain accuracy
• Data entry into company system as well as MS Excel
• Assist Senior Purchaser with various projects / tasks as needed
• Maintain a proper paper and electronic filing system
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience with Accounts Payables
• Purchasing experience considered an asset
• Strong English communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Keen attention to detail
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to multitask
