Sylva Valley Health & Rehab is actively seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This is a critical role for a strong RN leader who can help support nursing operations, guide staff, and maintain high standards of clinical care in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.

Key responsibilities
- Assist the DON with oversight of daily nursing operations
- Support, coach, and supervise nurses and nursing assistants
- Help manage clinical issues including incidents, falls, skin concerns, med issues, and change in condition follow-up
- Assist with staffing support, schedule oversight, and shift accountability
- Support admissions, readmissions, and care transitions
- Help ensure strong documentation, policy compliance, and survey readiness
- Participate in QAPI, audits, infection control follow-up, and staff development
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families
- Step in for the DON as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Skilled nursing / long-term care experience required
- Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
(ADON, Unit Manager, House Supervisor, Nurse Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or similar)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Dependable, organized, and able to lead with professionalism
Preferred
- Experience with survey readiness, quality improvement, and staff development
- Experience using PointClickCare or similar EMR
