The Emberly at Heritage Glenn Fort Worth, Texas, United States Executive/Management

About this position

Director of Engagement
At Thrive Senior Living, we believe older adults deserve awe, admiration, and a life filled with purpose. We don’t do “activities.” We engineer connection. We build relationships. We create moments that matter.

We are looking for a Director of Engagement who is bold, relational, and energized by people. This role is for someone who sees possibility everywhere, leads with heart, and knows that great care is a by-product of great relationships.

What You’ll Do
•    Engineer meaningful daily life by pairing resident passions with people, programs, and experiences
•    Build and maintain a monthly activity calendar that reflects resident interests and keeps life vibrant and engaging
•    Plan and coordinate on-site and off-site activities, events, entertainment, and outings
•    Serve as a liaison between residents and families around activities and engagement
•    Build relationships with volunteers and community partners to bring fresh energy and connection into the community
•    Escort and accompany residents to and from activities, events, and common areas—bringing the world to them every day
•    Safely drive the community bus for outings, events, and physician appointments—bringing the world to our residents
•    Lead, develop, and inspire engagement team members and volunteers
•    Manage the engagement department budget responsibly
•    Partner across departments to create a culture that feels alive, welcoming, and unmistakably Thrive
Who You Are
•    A relationship guardian who leads low and earns influence
•    Gritty, creative, and action-oriented, you find a way
•    Comfortable being visible, active, and hands-on every day
•    A confident, safety-minded driver with a valid license and clean driving record
•    Someone who believes purpose doesn’t retire
What You Bring
•    High School Diploma or GED required
•    2+ years of leadership experience in engagement, hospitality, recreation, or a related field preferred
•    Experience with older adults is a plus, but heart and mindset matter most
•    Ability to push occupied wheelchairs and assist with residents mobility; physical exertion will vary based on terrain, distance and resident needs.
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Why Thrive
•    We don’t ask people to fit into systems; we build systems around people
•    We value courage, empathy, determination, and fun
•    We believe every breath has purpose
•    No two days look the same and that’s exactly how we like it

If you’re ready to build trust, foster relationships, and encourage action, we’d love to meet you.
