The Transload Operator is responsible for providing handling, inventory, and shipping functions related to the movement of inventory products within a defined terminal. The Transload Operator under the director of his/her Facility Manager or Assistant Facility Manager will participate in the daily tasks of unloading inbound vehicles (railcars, trucks, containers) and loading outbound vehicles (railcar, trucks, containers). The tasks of the transload operator will require him/her to perform tasks using hand tools, and also operating power equipment (non-driver). This individual will operate one or more of the following equipment types: Tractor Trailer Wet Vac; Tractor Trailer Water Truck; Tractor Trailer Tank Truck; Chemical Truck; Pressure Truck; Combo Unit (Vac / Steamer); Hydro Vac, Forklift, Crane. The Transload Operator will learn MHX shipping processes and protocals to ensure the daily shipments are made accurately to service our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
· Perform labor tasks using varying equipment including but not limited to hand tools, and power equipment (non-driver) as assigned.
· Operate Forklifts. Responsible for safe operation of equipment.
· Operates several types of lifts, cranes both powered and non-powered, in a manner that is safe and consistent with policy, guidelines, and regulations.
· Performs general duties required to complete work.
· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management as business needs dictate
· Adhere to all safety rules, policies and guidelines
· Maintains compliance with all applicable laws/rules/regulations on a federal, state, agency, and municipal level.
