Are you an educator at heart who thrives on helping others learn, grow, and succeed?

Were looking for a Competency Trainer to lead the educational training component of our competency program. In this role, youll use creative teaching methods to help individuals understand basic legal concepts, build critical thinking skills, and better comprehend their own legal situations. Youll work both in group and one-on-one settings, ensuring that each individual receives the tools and support they need to navigate the legal process.

What Youll Do

  • Deliver group training sessions using discussions, readings, videos, and role-play activities to build legal competency.
  • Facilitate one-on-one tutoring to review individual cases and provide tailored support.
  • Document progress and outcomes in accordance with company and facility requirements.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to coordinate care and support.
  • Provide assessments or treatment activities aligned with your training, licensure, or experience.
  • Ensure all educational activities comply with state, federal, and accreditation standards.

What Were Looking For

Education & Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

  • Teaching and/or tutoring experience (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

  • Bachelors degree, RN or LVN license, or teacher certification/licensure in the state of employment (preferred)
  • Certification in Correctional Competency Training (preferred)

Salary Information

$40.00 - $40.00 Hourly Wage
