RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the FSQA department and ensure all food safety and quality programs are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
• Validate quality processes, monitor production performance, and maintain accurate documentation aligned with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and compliance evaluations; analyze trends and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and customer complaints.
• Oversee the Food Safety Team-including scheduling, training, and ensuring ongoing competency in food safety principles and procedures.
• Manage and maintain the facilitys Food Safety Management System, ensuring full compliance with FDA/USDA regulations and GFSI standards.
• Prepare and lead Food Safety, HACCP, and management review meetings.
• Develop, update, and enforce SOPs, quality programs, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proactive actions are taken to prevent food safety, legality, or quality issues.
• Support sanitation oversight, including cleaning practices, schedules, and verification activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of Management experience in Food Manufacturing (preferred).
• Bilingual English Spanish required.
• Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and experience participating in regulatory inspections.
• Strong background in sanitation, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and GFSI-based programs.
• Experience in creating SOPs, documentation systems, and food safety programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred certifications: SQF Practitioner, HACCP. PCQI
• Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts, with overtime or weekends as needed
