The Organization
Francophone Charter School of Oakland is a French immersion charter school that opened its doors in 2015. Our mission is to provide a dual-immersion curriculum to a diverse community of students and to develop bilingual and bi-literate global citizens who are open minded and who value intellectual curiosity, personal integrity and creativity.
Summary of Position
The School Compliance Manager is critical to the successful and efficient operation of our school. This position works closely with the Director of Operations to lead all non-instructional functions of the school, enabling the instructional staff to focus on student achievement.
Key responsibilities:
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
School Nutrition Compliance
- Food Compliance; schedule annual food safety inspections
- Train and oversee servers
- Work with vendors to ensure timely and accurate daily delivery of meals
- Order meals; create monthly menu
- Maintenance of kitchen equipment at both sites
- Collect whole school lunch forms to generate a list of Free & Reduced Price Meal Families every year
Student Safety, Health & Wellness Compliance
- Manage school safety processes and compliance, including supporting with administering trainings, coordinating drills and safety audits, acting as the liaison with the fire department
- Partner with the Leadership Team to respond to emergencies; keep record of all drills performed at Lower school (eg duration of each drill, checklist of compliance performed)
- Ensure safety in daily drop off and pick up
- Schedule annual vision and hearing tests
- Lead the School Wellness committee and facilitate meetings with families and staff twice a year
Technology
- Work with IT company to maintain inventory of school technology equipment (staff computers, ipads, chromebooks, projectors)
- Manage Ring Central (Phone systems)
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with IT company
- Owner of Google Suite
Facilities
- Manage school cleanliness, assign roles and duties to school janitors, ensuring janitorial and pest control services are properly carried out at the Lower School
- Manage routine maintenance requests at Lower School
- Liaise and communicate with landlord for school maintenance & repair needs
- Readiness for Williams Visit
Finances
- Manage the school billing inbox for invoices
- Process weekly invoices to ensure they are paid on time
- Manage billing (on Kangaroo Time) for afterschool program to ensure families payment are made on time
HR
- Assist with onboarding of new staff - keys, computers, create FCSO gmail accounts
Complete projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree desired
- Experience with managing food services/lunch program in schools preferred
- Experience in facilities management, preferably an education-related organization
- Outstanding computer skills; ability to manage Google Suite
- Strong analyzing and problem-solving skills
- Excellent skills of organization and follow-through
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timetables
- Experience managing others preferred
Full-time Position (40 hours/week)
