About this position

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position supports Operations Department objectives by keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently.  This position ensures Company facilities are maintained to the Company standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance inspections; conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment
  • Analyzes equipment failures, determines cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Assign responsibilities to the staff and make changes as deemed necessary 
  • Coordinate with the Director of Operation and Operation Supervisor to schedule repairs and PM to the equipment to minimize downtime
  • Keep records of all repairs and PM of the equipment
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Help with Supervision when unloading ships
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work varying hours including overnights, weekends, holidays, etc.

    EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of PLC 
  • Knowledge of automated production lines
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Associated degree preferred
  • Must have or meet the eligibility requirements for TWIC
