Wake Veterinary Medical Center is a 24-hour hybrid hospital offering primary care, emergency, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, advanced imaging (ultrasound and 64-slice CT), and cardiology services through our partnership with CVCA. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between our Emergency Department, clients, and referring veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between referring veterinarians who wish to transfer care to our hospital for emergency and ICU services.
- Demonstrate knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology to effectively communicate with referring veterinarians and veterinary professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up for all referrals and communications.
- Support hospital operations with professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of veterinary emergency experience required.
- Strong communication, organizational, verbal, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and positivity under pressure.
- EzyVet experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service is always expected.
