Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Assemble, fit, and tack weld parts in accordance with engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and written work instructions.
- Perform welding in horizontal and vertical positions.
- Use weld gauges to verify proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
- Weld a variety of metals, including galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
- Read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Test and inspect products in accordance with established inspection procedures.
- Operate fork trucks, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- AWS welding certification (D1.1 or D1.3) preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a MIG welder or currently attending classes for Welding Certification.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and squat for the duration of the scheduled shift.
- Willingness to submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
