Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable custom Floor Mat Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the cutting, assembling, and finishing custom floor mats using a variety of materials such as rubber, vinyl, carpet, and foam. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret work orders and assembly instructions.
- Identify and gather required materials and accessories for custom floor mat assembly.
- Measure, cut, and trim materials using knives, shears, or cutting machines.
- Assemble components such as top layers, backing, and edging into finished floor mats.
- Perform annealing processes as required.
- Apply adhesives or bonding agents as needed.
- Inspect finished products for quality, size accuracy, and defects.
- Accurately document production data and report issues to the supervisor.
- Package and label products per shipping and handling standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to achieve production goals.
- Operate autonomously and contribute directly to the production floor when needed.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and adherence to company policies and culture.
- Follow housekeeping and safety protocols consistently.
- Adhere to work schedules and be available for overtime as needed.
- Must successfully pass a measurement/math test and be able to convert feet into inches.
